    These are brown void fill paper sheets, 380 x 250 mm (15 x 10 inch) each, 500 sheets to a pack. You crumple them and pack them around a product, so it cannot move inside the carton. They are for online sellers and small warehouses who ship in cartons and want a plain paper filler instead of air pillows or newspaper.

    Void fill has one job. A product that cannot move inside the box cannot gather speed and hit the wall of the box. We make these sheets in our own plant in Jaipur for exactly that job.

    How much do you need?

    There is no fixed number. You need as much as it takes for nothing to move and for the flaps to close with a gentle press. These are our starting points for a product that fills about half the box, and we would rather you test them with a shake than trust them blindly.

    If a box needs 40 or more sheets, I would change the box, not the paper. Most couriers charge by volumetric weight, so a smaller box saves paper and freight together. The full table and the method are in how much void fill paper a carton needs.

    How to pack with it

    1. Crumple each sheet loosely, to about the size of your fist. A hard ball wastes paper.
    2. Put a base layer of 2 to 3 cm in the carton, then set the product in the middle, not against a wall.
    3. Fill the four corners first, then the sides and the top.
    4. Close the box and shake it hard. If anything moves, open it and add paper.

    An honest limit

    Void fill stops movement. It is not a cushion for glass or ceramics. Wrap a fragile item first in honeycomb paper, then fill around the wrap. Crumpled paper also settles a little on a long truck journey, so pack slightly firmer than feels necessary.

    Questions buyers ask

    Can I use old newspaper instead?

    You can. I would not use it for a gift, because newsprint ink can rub off on light products, and a box of old newspaper does not look like a brand.

    What is my cost per carton?

    Divide the pack price by 500 to get the cost of one sheet, then multiply by the sheets your box needs. An 8 x 6 x 4 inch box that takes 4 sheets uses less than 1% of a pack.
