Crinkle paper is paper cut into thin zig-zag strands that spring up instead of lying flat. Ours comes in blue, green, yellow, red, white, black, brown or mixed colours, in 500 g or 1 kg packs. In a hamper or gift box it does two jobs: it makes a bed that holds the products in place, and it carries the colour of the occasion.
To know how much you need, weigh it. Fill a bowl, build one hamper from it, and weigh the bowl again. At 50 g a hamper, a 500 g pack fills about 10 hampers and a 1 kg pack about 20. Red and yellow suit Diwali, while white, black and brown look calm in a corporate box.
