Choosing paper packaging for your orders
This collection has everything we sell that cushions or fills a box with paper instead of plastic. Our buyers here are mostly D2C brands and online sellers who ship glassware, ceramics, cosmetics, books and gifts, and who want a box the customer can put out with paper waste.
I sort the products by the job they do:
- Wrap the item. Honeycomb paper comes as a 390 mm wide roll in 10 m, 100 m or 250 m, as 390 x 500 mm sheets, or with a dispenser. Kraft Paper Bubble Wrap Sheets are 300 x 400 mm, in packs of 20, 50 or 200.
- Fill the gaps. Void Filling Paper comes as 380 x 250 mm sheets, and there is a fan fold void fill pack as well. Crinkle paper, in 500 g or 1 kg bags, is the softer and more decorative filler for hampers.
- Skip the carton. The Honeycomb Mailer is a padded paper envelope for small items.
The mistake I would avoid is wrapping well and then leaving the carton half empty, because a wrapped item that slides around inside the box can still break.
Wrap first, then fill.

Questions buyers ask
Honeycomb paper or kraft paper bubble wrap, which should I buy?
Honeycomb, if you wrap many different product sizes, because a roll lets you tear exactly the length you need. Kraft bubble wrap sheets suit sellers who like one fixed 300 x 400 mm sheet per order and no tearing at all.
How much void fill paper does one carton need?
It depends on the empty space, not on the carton size. Put the product in, look at the gap that is left and fill that. Our guide on void fill per carton and the packaging calculators walk you through the numbers.
Is paper packaging waterproof?
No. Paper does not like water, so store rolls and sheets in a dry place before use. If parcels may sit in rain on the way, the outer carton or bag has to do that job, not the wrap inside.
Is crinkle paper only for decoration?
Mostly, yes. It looks lovely in gift hampers and baskets and gives some cushioning too. For glass or ceramic pieces, I would wrap them in honeycomb paper first and use crinkle on top for the look.
