Masking Tapes

Cream crepe paper masking tape, 1 or 2 inch wide, 20 m or 50 m a roll, in sets of 3 or 6. It holds for the length of a job, tears across by hand and comes off by hand when you are done, and you can write on it with a pen. Painters, students, offices and craft tables all use it.

How to choose: take 1 inch for craft work, labels and window frames, and 2 inch for walls, because the wider strip guards more of the next surface from a slip of the roller. Take the 20 m rolls for a room or a school project, and the 50 m rolls if you paint or label every week.

Painting a whole room? Pre-taped masking film covers a full wall or a sofa in one go.
