Buying thermal shipping labels
Direct thermal labels print with heat, so the printer needs no ink, toner or ribbon. Online sellers use them for courier address labels, and warehouses use the smaller sizes for barcodes, SKUs and inventory identification.
We stock two rolls in this collection. The Direct Thermal Shipping Labels roll, sold as a set of 1 or 2, is the larger label for a full courier address with a tracking barcode. The 2 x 1 inch roll (50.8 x 25.4 mm, 1000 labels per roll) is for product barcodes, price stickers and stock labels.
Before you order, I would check one thing on your printer. If it uses a ribbon, it is a thermal transfer printer, and it must have a direct thermal mode to print on these labels.

There is an honest limit too.
Direct thermal print darkens with heat and strong sunlight over time. That is fine for a label that only has to last till delivery. For a label that must stay readable on a shelf for years, talk to us about other label types.

Questions buyers ask
Will these labels work with my printer?
Yes, if it is a direct thermal printer. These labels print with heat alone. If your printer uses an ink ribbon, check that it has a direct thermal mode before you order. The manual or the manufacturer's website usually says so clearly.
How long does direct thermal print last?
Long enough for a courier trip, not for years. The print slowly darkens or fades with heat, sunlight and time. For long-life shelf or asset labels, a thermal transfer label printed with a ribbon is the better choice.
Can I stick these labels on courier bags?
Yes. They are self-adhesive and stick to cartons, envelopes and parcels. On our courier bags you can also slip the printed label or the invoice into the POD jacket on the front.
Are labels part of the sample kit?
No. The ₹79 sample kit covers bags, wraps, tapes and a carton, but not labels. My suggestion is to start with a set of 1 roll and test it on your own printer before you buy more.
