This is black PVC electrical insulation tape, 18 mm wide and 6 m long, packed 30 rolls to a box. It is the narrow size electricians carry in a pocket, sold in a box for electricians, contractors, maintenance teams and hardware counters.

You can order 1 box (30 rolls) or 2 boxes (60 rolls). We sell this tape, and a short roll like this is easy to keep in every toolbag and every site cupboard.

Where it works best

  1. Wrapping a small joint between two thin wires, after the joint itself is made properly.
  2. Covering the bare end of a spare wire inside a switch box or a junction box.
  3. Tying 3 or 4 thin wires together behind a board or a panel.
  4. Giving a better grip to a tool handle, or marking one cable in a bunch.

How to choose

Width first. At 18 mm, this roll goes neatly around a thin wire without a bulky lump. For bundling many cables, wrapping larger joints or repairing an outer cable sheath, a 2 inch roll does the job in fewer turns. Take our black 2 inch PVC insulation tape, or the white 2 inch roll for wires on a white wall.
