Packaging material for Meesho sellers
Most Meesho orders are clothes and small, light items, so most Meesho sellers need four things: a plain courier bag in the right size, 2 inch packing tape for the odd carton, a 4 x 6 inch shipping label and a sack for returns. PackSmith sells all of them, from a pack of 100 bags or a set of 6 tape rolls. PackSmith is not affiliated with Meesho.
Check this first: Meesho branded packaging and RTO claims
Meesho's own SOP for return and RTO shipments, effective 15 March 2023, says suppliers can raise RTO claims only if they dispatch orders in Meesho branded packaging. Our courier bags and tapes are not Meesho branded packaging. If RTO claims matter to your business, check the current rule and the packaging vendors listed in your Meesho Supplier Panel before you buy.
The same SOP asks for an unboxing video as evidence for a claim, showing the label, the AWB number and the barcode. Keep a phone stand at the table where returns are opened.
What to buy
- Courier bags: 60 micron, tamper-evident, with a POD jacket, 100 bags a pack. 10x12 or 10x14 inch for one kurti or t-shirt, 12x16 for jeans or a saree. See the courier bag size chart.
- Packing tape: 2 inch clear or brown BOPP tape for cartons, or our red printed tape for Meesho sellers. Keep tape off the shipping label and its barcode.
- Shipping labels: 4 x 6 inch direct thermal rolls, if you print labels on a thermal printer.
- Zip lock pouches: to keep small parts or a set together inside the bag.
- White gunny bags: to collect returns or send reseller lots.

What packaging material do Meesho sellers need?
For most orders, a plain courier bag in the right size, 2 inch packing tape for cartons, a 4 x 6 inch shipping label and a gunny bag for returns. PackSmith sells all of these. PackSmith is not affiliated with Meesho.
Is PackSmith packaging Meesho branded packaging?
No. Our courier bags and tapes are not Meesho branded packaging. Meesho's SOP of March 2023 allows RTO claims only for orders sent in Meesho branded packaging, so check your Supplier Panel if those claims matter to you.
Which courier bag size should I buy for Meesho orders?
10x12 inch for one t-shirt or thin kurti, 10x14 for a kurti or shirt with room to spare, and 12x16 for jeans or a saree. Measure the folded product, add its thickness plus about an inch, and pick the first size that fits.
Which tape do Meesho sellers use for packing?
2 inch (48 mm) BOPP packing tape on a standard hand dispenser. We sell clear and brown tape, and a red printed tape for Meesho sellers, in sets of 6 and more.
Will I get a GST invoice?
