Double Sided Foam Mounting Tape 2 inch x 2.5 m, Set of 6

This is wide double sided foam mounting tape, 2 inch (48 mm) wide and 2.5 m long, in a set of 6 rolls. It is for shops, showrooms, offices and event stalls that mount light boards and signs and want more tape on the back of each one.

Each roll is a white foam strip with adhesive on both sides and a pale yellow liner. We sell it (we do not make it), and one set gives you 15 m of tape.

Where it works best

1. A foam board or sunboard sign at a shop counter or a stall.
2. A light acrylic sign or a menu board on a smooth wall or a glass partition.
3. Display panels in a showroom, where screws would damage the fixture.
4. Fixing a light organiser or a small box under a desk or inside a cupboard.

How to choose

Why 2 inch and not 1 inch? It is simple. A wider strip touches more of the board, so the same weight is spread over more adhesive. For narrow shelf edges and small name plates, the 24 mm foam tape is easier to place.

On a big board, I would cut squares and put one at each corner and one in the middle. Do not run one full strip down one side. The far side then peels away first. Both widths are in our double sided foam tapes collection.

Before you stick anything, wipe the surface clean, let it dry fully and press each piece hard. Then wait. Give it a full day before the board takes its weight. Our double sided tape guide explains each step and compares foam with tissue and nano tape.

Questions buyers ask

Can I use it outdoors?

I would not. We do not claim any weather resistance for this tape, and sun, rain and dust all work on the bond. For an outside sign, use screws or a proper frame.

Will it come off cleanly later?

Treat it as semi-permanent. Some foam usually stays behind and needs scraping, and on a painted wall the paint can lift. Test a small piece in a corner first.

What is the weight limit?

We do not print one, on purpose. The hold changes with the surface and how much tape you use. Keep it for light items, never a mirror or a glass shelf.
